As the final step in character creation, Hindrances and Traits add depth, personality, and mechanical impact to your hero.

✔ Hindrances introduce flaws, quirks, and personal struggles, making characters feel more than just stat blocks.
✔ Traits provide mechanical advantages and special abilities, shaping how a character excels in the world.

Together, they create dynamic, well-rounded characters who feel unique, challenged, and powerful.

Hindrances & Traits Breakdown

  • Hindrances come in Minor (1 pt) and Significant (2 pts) options, each affecting roleplay and mechanics.
  • Traits have no tier system, but some require a Professional skill level, meaning they can only be taken post-character creation.
  • Animal Companion Traits allow companions to grow and evolve, should your character acquire one.
